Some clients are inclusive and allow any user to request any ticket because it’s just a request. Other clients want to control access based on goals or a hierarchy. Of course you can do both depending on the ticket or event. Managing ticket request access is done in the “configure section”. Ticket admin can ”configure” tickets where all users can request tickets or where some users/departments have immediate access to tickets while other users/departments may not have access or only get access to tickets closer to the event date.
The most common way clients limit ticket access is through departments. For example, clients focused on business development may configure tickets where the Sales department has immediate access, while non-client facing departments (i.e. Operations) may not get access or their access doesn’t occur until X days before the event date. Another common ticket access example might include key management having access to every ticket immediately and then opening up tickets to other users/departments closer to the event date.
Through the ”configure” section, ticket admin have the flexibility to set ticket request access at the ticket, event or season level. There are no restrictions to how ticket admin can configure their tickets – a single user, multiple users, one department, multiple departments, even all registered users. If you ticket access strategy includes controlling ticket access by department, ideally you will want to identify and create departments in Concierge Live prior to launching. Departments are created in the Setup section, and Concierge Live supports departments and sub-departments. When users register, they select their department.
